Sonos offers a scheduling feature that is similar to how you schedule music in Soundtrack. You can set an “alarm” to start playing music at a certain time and length. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to schedule your Soundtrack playlists directly in Sonos using the alarm feature.
1. Set an Alarm
Start creating your music alarm by selecting the days and times you want your Sonos system to start playing music. You can create different alarms for weekdays, weekends, or specific days of the week according to your preferences.
2. Playlist choice
Throughout the week, during your opening hours, aim to implement a straightforward schedule that automates music playback. Below, we give you our pro tips for a non-repetitive week to always keep the music new and fresh for the staff and customers.
Avoid repetitions
Chill Music Mood (6:00 - 12:00):
During this period, a relaxing and mellow music mood will be played from 6:00 in the morning until noon. E.g. Soundtrack “Acoustic Chill”.
Lounge Music (12:00 - 17:00):
Subsequently, a different music mood with a lounge vibe will be active from noon to 5:00 in the evening. E.g. “Lounge Essentials”.
Uplifting Music (17:00 - 23:00):
The final music mood of the day will be characterized by uplifting and cheerful tunes, playing from 5:00 in the evening until 11:00 at night. E.g. “Good vibes”.
At the end of the day, the system will automatically cease music playback at 23:00 for a peaceful night. This daily schedule will repeat consistently from week to week.
3. Ready, set, listen
Once you've fine-tuned your schedule and selected the ideal music, save your settings. Now, sit back, relax, and let Soundtrack Your Brand and Sonos create the perfect ambiance for every moment.
