Getting started with Soundtrack

This article covers what you need for our service to work and how to set up your Soundtrack account. Follow these steps to start playing music:

1. Sign up here
Sign up without a credit card and cancel at any time.

2. Download the free Soundtrack app
Download the Soundtrack app to the phone, tablet, or desktop you’ll stream music through. Select your device:

iOS

You can start playing music by logging into the app or by entering a pairing code:

  • Log in
    Download the Soundtrack app from App Store here. Open the app and click log in.
  • Use a pairing code
    Open the Soundtrack app and enter the pairing code shown on your account here.

Android

You can start playing music by logging into the app or by entering a pairing code:

  • Log in
    Download the Soundtrack app from Google Play here. Open the app and click log in.
  • Use a pairing code
    Open the Soundtrack app and enter the pairing code shown on your account here.

Windows

  1. Download the Windows player here.
  2. Install the program on your computer.
  3. Enter the pairing code shown on your account here.
  4. Enjoy the music!
 

Soundtrack Player

  1. Log in here and go to zones in the top menu.
  2. Click on the zone you want to edit.
  3. Under "Pair a player", choose Hardware. Enter the device ID found on the underside of the Soundtrack Player. 
  4. Connect the power cable. A light will show up on the front side of the box when it’s on.
  5. Connect the ethernet cable to give the streaming box Internet access, as well as an audio cable (RCA cable or 3.5mm audio cable) to your sound system.

  6. Enjoy the music! Your player will always stay up to date and download the latest software version automatically. Please note that it may take up to 15 minutes from when you've connected the network cable until the music starts playing. Learn more about our hardware the Soundtrack Player here. 
 

Sonos

Mobile or tablet (Android & iOS)

  1. Click on Settings

  2. Click on “Services & Voice”

  3. Scroll down and click on “Add a Service”

  4. Add Soundtrack to SONOS

  5. Set up Soundtrack

  6. Authorize

  7. Leave SONOS to go to our business page (this will happen automatically)

  8. Sign up a new customer or log in as a current customer

  9. Choose a zone and Connect

Desktop (Windows & Mac)

  1. Go to “Add Music Services”

  2. Search for Soundtrack Player

  3. Add Soundtrack player to SONOS

  4. Set up Soundtrack

  5. Authorize

  6. Leave SONOS to go to our business page (this will happen automatically)

  7. Sign up a new customer or log in as a current customer

  8. Choose a sound zone and Connect

3. Add music
Once you've connected your device you're ready to add music. This section in our help center will guide you through the music.

4. Connect to your sound system
Connect to your sound system with WiFi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, cables – or what works for you.
