For our service to work, your firewall needs to allow outgoing traffic for the player. Make sure that the following ports are open for outbound traffic:
- 80 (TCP) - HTTP
- 443 (TCP) - HTTPS
- 53 (UDP/TCP) - DNS
- 123 (UDP) - NTP
Please note that these settings apply to all supported devices and that the devices don’t need any ports for incoming traffic.
Due to our use of a globally distributed cloud hosting system to ensure high availability for our service, we cannot provide the specific destination IP addresses or DNS names for whitelisting. Due to the nature of these services, the addresses we connect to will shift over time and be dependent on your geographical location. This also means that attempting to track which addresses the player connects to for purpose of whitelisting leads to a risk of playback stopping when an endpoint is moved.
Additionally, equipment or software that intercepts or filters web traffic such as proxies, web filtering devices or security appliances, are not supported. If you use such solutions in your network, the player must be excluded from being affected, or our service cannot work.
