We're excited to introduce the Desktop player, an enhanced and interactive player for Windows and macOS. In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to download the player and start playing music.
💡 Please note that this player currently supports user login only, without the need for a pairing code. If you require the interface limitations that come with using a pairing code, please consider our other supported devices listed here, which are optimized for less local control.
Instructions
- If you don't have an account yet, sign up here.
- Go to Zones in the top menu.
- Click on the zone where you would like to play music.
- Download the Desktop player for Windows or macOS here.
(Already paired? Click "Switch device" and choose the new player from the Download apps page) - Install the program on your computer. The Player should start once installed, if not, start the program manually by double-clicking on the Soundtrack icon on your desktop.
- Log in with the same email address associated with your Soundtrack account.
- Connect the audio cable between the computer and your speakers, and make sure you have internet access.
- Enjoy the music!
Learn your way around the app
Home - Discover playlists organized by business, decade, genre, holiday, and more. Use the search bar to find what you need.
Search - Type in keywords to find matching music. If we don't have an artist, we'll recommend similar ones.💡 Searching for individual songs requires an Unlimited plan. Learn how to upgrade and unlock this feature here.
Create - Make Stations on the Essential plan. Unlimited plan users can also create Playlists. Select Create a schedule to have your music selections play at specific times throughout the week, ensuring a perfectly timed listening experience.
Your Music - Access and play all your saved Playlists, Stations, and Schedules.
Playback controls - Click on the playback window to expand it. See what’s currently playing, adjust the volume, skip songs, and switch between shuffled and linear playback. 💡 Linear playback requires an Unlimited plan. Learn how to upgrade and unlock this feature here.
Block song & Share feedback - If a song doesn't fit your brand or you simply don't like it, go to the three-dotted menu in the upper right corner. Click Block song to prevent it from playing in your zone again. Song blocking is zone-specific and there is currently no way of blocking a song in all of the locations of your account.

Log out & Unpair from zone - Access the option to either log out from your account or unpair from the zone you're connected to, by clicking the name of your account in the upper-right corner.
Check For Updates - In the top-left menu, click Help and then Check For Updates. This button automatically checks for and installs any available updates for the Player.
