As we continue to improve and develop our service, older versions of the Soundtrack Player app will stop playing music on April 4, 2022. To keep the music playing you need to update your device’s OS to at least Android 7 or iOS 11, and then install the latest version of the Soundtrack Player app available in the App Store or Google Play.
What are the minimum operating system requirements to continue to use the Soundtrack Player app on Android or iOS?
Your device must be running with one of the following operating systems:
- For Android: Android 7 or higher
- For iOS: iOS 11 or higher

How can I update my device’s operating system?
- Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
- Go to 'Settings' and click 'General', then tap 'Software Update'.
- If you see two software update options available, choose the one that you want to install.
- Tap 'Install now'. If you see 'Download and install' instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then click on 'Install now'.

What if I can’t update my device's iOS?
An older device may not be able to update to iOS version 11 or higher, which means that you can't update the Soundtrack Player app.
This means that you can use this device until April 4, 2022. After that date, you will need to download the Soundtrack Player app on a newer device to keep the music playing.
Why are we making these changes?
We continuously develop and improve our service using the latest software and technologies available in order to provide the best possible experience for our users. As a result, this means that from time to time older software versions will stop being supported, as they become outdated with the latest technologies.
Please also note that operating systems like iOS 9 (released 2015) have not been receiving further updates from Apple in recent years.
Can I use another device?
Soundtrack works with many iOS devices that have iOS version 11 or higher installed. You can also stream music through an Android phone or tablet, or a Windows PC. You can find the complete list of our supported devices here.
What if I don’t have another device?
If you don’t want to use your own device to stream music, you can purchase our Soundtrack Player. It's a hardware player that can store up to four weeks of music at a time, which helps with an inconsistent or weak internet connection. You can find more about the Soundtrack Player here.

How can I update my device’s operating system?
- Open your phone's or tablet’s Settings app.
- Near the bottom, tap System > Advanced > System update.
- You'll see your update status. Follow any steps on the screen.

What if I can’t update my device's OS?
